This Scottish piper has been playing the pipes professionally for over
15 years. Though based in Scotland he is happy to travel throughout the
UK and abroad.
He plays not only the larger Highland Pipes but also the smaller Lowland
Pipes. The Highland Pipes are more suited to very large events or for
those that are held outside, where the Lowland Pipes are better for
normal sized events held inside.
This is because the larger pipes can be quite loud and the smaller ones
provide a warmer, quieter sound suitable for more intimate surroundings.
Piper & Drummer
Piper HP09 can also offer the option of playing a solo drummer, which
combined with the pipes, gives a much fuller sound and improves the
sense of occasion. Here he is pictured right, with the drummer.
Bagpiper And Clarsach Duo
If you want to combine the romance of the harp and traditional sound of
the pipes, then he can play the Lowland Pipes as part of a duo with a
Clarsach player. So if you are looking for something unique for your
Scottish wedding or special event then book this duo.
He provides himself on wearinga full military style piping uniform
and uses the Modern Red McPherson tartan, which includes a feather
bonnet with red hackle, spats, tartan hose, doublet, full length plaid
and of course, a horse hair sporran.
This fantastic uniform is very photogenic and he is always in demand
with brides and guests alike who want to be photographed with him.
